We offer both volume and educational discounts (educational institutions can take advantage of volume discounts on top of the educational discount rate). This page describes all pricing information for the Movie Conversion Tools. If this page fails to answer any of your questions, please contact us.

Software

The Movie Conversion Tools product includes the ConvertMovie and ConvertImage programs for converting your Parallax JPEG Movie files into AVI or QuickTime movies.

Shipping: The Movie Conversion Tools are compact enough to be transferred over the Internet; upon purchase, you will receive instructions on how to download the software.

If you do not have access to the Internet, we are happy to ship you the software via UPS or FedEx; shipping costs are also included in the purchase price of the product.

Cost per license: $400

If you intend to use more than one copy of the Movie Conversion Tools simultaneously, you will need to purchase as many licenses as are necessary to cover the simultaneous use. For example, if five Movie Conversion process are running at any one time, you will require five licenses.

Support

Cost (one year of support):

25% of the purchase price of the number of licenses you wish to support.

For example, if you purchase one license at $400, one year of support costs 25% of $400, or $100.

Educational Discount

Educational institutions are eligible for a 40% discount off the price of both software and support with proper validation of your status as an educational institution (a departmental purchase order will suffice, for example). For example, a single license is available to educational institutions for the price of $240; a single support license costs 25% of $240, or $60.

Volume discounts apply to all customers. If you are an educational customer, your volume discount applies in addition to your educational discount. For example, if you purchase 10 licenses, first take off 20% of $4000 for the volume discount ($3200), then take 40% of the $3200. Educational cost for ten licenses: $1920, a total savings of over $2000. This discounting scheme applies to support licenses as well; remember, support cost is 25% of the price of the software (educational price for ten support licenses: $480, a savings of over $500).
