Note To Self: Mac OS X Screenshot TIps

LogoI take screenshots on my Mac infrequently enough that I keep forgetting the command sequence I want to use for capture-a-window or capture-the-entire-screen, etc.  So every time I need to take screenshots, I have to look it up again.

This morning when I had need to take screenshots, I realized that it bugs me that the screenshots go to the Desktop by default, an area that I tend to keep empty.  I also don't find it a nice place to keep all the screenshots in one place, especially if I do put other kinds of documents on my Desktop.  So I wondered if there's a way to tell Mac OS X to change where it saves screenshots.

Well, of course there is.  And here is a great web page that describes how to change that setting, along with some other cool settings about Screenshots.  Beautiful!
